satin nickel or weathered nickel pulls/knobs

cookingbuffOctober 8, 2013

I have white shaker style inset cabinets and I am trying to decide between satin nickel or weathered satin nickel or antique nickel pulls/knobs. Anyone have an opinion for or against either finish for the knobs? My appliances are stainless steel. The style of my home is traditional with white farmhouse sink and wainscoting on the island. Would appreciate your input.

I have weathered nickel because the pulls were ultra cheap (99 cents for amerock pulls). I haven't mounted them yet but I was checking positioning today and they look pretty good on my oak cabinets.

If I had white painted cabinets, I think I'd go with the cleaner look of the satin nickel. I probably would have for ours but I couldn't pass up 99 cent pulls (normally around $5 I think).

I am concerned that the weathered nickel will be too "distressed". Would love to hear from someone who has weathered nickel knobs or someone who decided against them.
