Chip in Granite! Please Help!

somanychoicesSeptember 12, 2012

The glass from my island pendant fell onto my quartzite (White Fantasy) counter and left some small chips in the surface. Is there anything I can do to smooth them out or fill them in? Thanks!!

I had some issues with chiping when my granite was installed due to high mica content. My countertop is not perfectly smooth in a few places and there is even a small dent by the sink. They offered to fill it but the fill looks odd even when they colored it really well. I would leave it alone if they are not very deep. If they are deep, then you can have a fabricator fill them with a resin.
I am sorry!

sniff sniff....the pain, it's too much....

if nothing else works, try this tip we got when we had Bianco Antico...take some super glue gel, fill the chip. when it dries, use a razor blade to shave off the excess. Hopefully it will make it smooth to the touch.

It worked on our BA.

Thanks for the responses. Should I re-seal?
