Painted kitchen cabinets

mrspeteSeptember 7, 2013

How do painted cabinets -- perhaps a medium cobalt blue or a pale French blue -- hold up as compared to standard wooden cabinets? I'm curious about whether they show dirt, are easy to clean, or would show "nicks and bumps" from daily life.

I'm talking about new cabinets, factory finished, not re-doing what I already have.

Thanks for any advice you could provide.

I have stained cabinets on the perimeter of my L-Shaped kitchen, and a painted island. Everything has been in full use for 9 months. I think I do notice drips and hand prints on my island more, but not dings and dents.
