The bare-window people will kill me.
I am temporarily (for 6-9 months) moving into a rental apartment right in my complex. It's later (1899), elaborately Colonial Revival in the hallways and exterior, and kinda Stick Style on the interior rooms.
All the windows in the apartment are leaded glass. The bedroom has a Palladian style leaded window in a box bay.
The apartment is so nice proportion wise, I took pictures of it empty. 12 foot ceilings, and a very "modern" (for 1899) horizontalish fireplace. I was supposed to look at this apartment to buy in 1994, but there was someone in the shower. So, I get to live in it after all.
Because of the adjacencies to other apartments and windows. I feel very exposed. The bedroom bay is about two feet from the kitchen window in another unit. A bright exterior light shines into the bedroom at night.
I am going to have to put blackouts in the bedroom window and curtains on the giant LR windows.
But I promise I will open the curtains. :)
