Backsplash in kitchen

L AAugust 14, 2014

I have a slide in stove with microwave above it. I was thinking about putting the "framed" tiling look above the stove but I am unsure if the area is big enough. I have a tile picked out that I can get the pencil tile and a smaller basket weave look tile that matches to put in the "frame". Every picture I see thay have a beautiful large space above the stove with a fancy fan. Also, if I decide not to do this, I was thing of putting a stainless steel backsplash just behind the stove, 36" and do the rest in tile. I am thinking either tumbled travertine or marble. Thanks guys

Do you want to make your slide-in stove and microwave the feature of your kitchen? That's what a framed tiled section will do. That's why "Every picture I see thay have a beautiful large space above the stove with a fancy fan."

If you want advice on the alternative plan, we'd need to see photos.
