I love this combo. and wonderered if the backsplash was ever finished??
That's a2gemini's BS. I don't think it is done yet.
Getting closer, I hope to order today if I am not too exhausted from teaching!
Grazia Rixi crema and the inset is beach from the tile-shop in California
I was hoping to find it locally, but no luck so far
Thanks so much to the two of you!
I'm in CA, what is the tile-shop's name?
We have Typhoon Bordeaux granite, which seems to have the same colors in it as yours. I've been w/o BS for over a year! Although, it is in our vacation/retirement home, so I'm not living with it everyday. I'm sure I would have finished by now, if that were the case! :)
It is called Tile Shop and the website is Tile-Shop.com which is different than the midwest Tileshop.com
Didn't quite get it ordered today - working on shipping as tiles weighs a lot!
I'm anxiously awaiting pics too! I like almost all the same stuff that's in A2gemini's kitchen. It's like seeing a life sized model, lol.
Thanks Williamsem -
I called a few local stores and looked into shipping from the coasts - so hopefully will order soon.
My DH can't wait til it is finished. He said - I thought the tile was already ordered..... oops!
Lucky you, my Dh keeps saying, "We don't need a BS" !!!
Anxiously awaiting your pics! :)
Finally have shipping costs - so soon. :-)
DH just wants it done!
Gorgeous! Can't wait to see it all come together.
Still working on shipping
Still waiting for finished pics. :)
Saw your post on the "show me your BS", yours is still my top combo. for my kitchen. Here's what my kitchen looks like:
West coast - Tile-shop.com carries it - (not tileshop.com) - I am currently working with Nelson out of Berkely.
Your colors are so close to mine that it should look great - what is your countertop? It looks very close to mine (Cambria Buckingham) but hard to tell from the angle
I like how you used accent pieces to add color - I plan to do that also.
Here is a picture of ours to compare (one run)
PS - no fair if you get yours in first! But I am betting you will! LOL
This is what I plan to do - not these medallions but a very simple one - or not
a2gemini, Our granite is called Typhoon Bordeaux.
So, you're not going to use those the glass as a strip? You're cutting it up and placing it here and there? That was my first thought, of what I wanted! But, I kind of like the strip (ribbon?) around the whole thing too. Can't wait to see yours done!!!
Best wishes to your mom too! :)
Hey, Sandesurf--finish that BS!! ;-) Hope you're doing well. Haven't been on here in months. Enjoying my kitchen and other rennovations and glad cooler weather is on its way to GA!! Lord, what a crazy-hot summer! Becky
What size is your sink?
Check out my post with the finished backsplash. I think it came out pretty good for a rookie!
It was not a DIY but just figuring it out caused a lot of angst!
Sandesurf - including a picture in case you don't find the other post
I did use the glass tile strip and then a few accents above the cooktop.
More pictures on out of ABB club post!
Hope you are out soon!
Oh my, I like it!! What color is your field tile?
Peach32! Hi! Still searching for that perfect BS! LOL
(remember, I don't live at the house, or it would definitely be done by now! It's our vacation home, that we're lucky to be in two weekends a month.)
Good to see you!
The field tile is Grazia Rixi Crema with Tec Antique grout
Thanks - keep working on it - something will finally pop!
Now maybe I just need to keep your beach house company so you have more time to work on finishing it - LOL :-)
Let us know what you decide
Thanks, gemini! but it's not at the beach, it's in the desert! Lake Havasu, AZ. :)
Thanks too for the tile info.! I will definitely be posting, when the time comes...
Now our friend from az has his beach furniture ready for when ca falls off the earth....
Thanks and good luck!
