Built-under Double Oven?

sashasmommyJune 25, 2012

Does anyone know where I can find a "Built-under" double oven in the USA? Everything I find appears to be in the UK.

Thanks!

Interesting. Never seen one, but I like it! Maybe contact IKEA?

Alas, while ikea has all sorts of terrific appliances in the rest of the world, in the US they seem to mostly chase the bottom end.

This GE might work:

The GE single/double is the only one similar I know about that can be placed undercounter. I'm not sure, however, about under a cooktop.

Thanks, but it seems like what we want is just out of our reach. Hubby wants a gas range and cooktop, and I want a double oven. We can get a gas freestanding double oven, or an electric built-under double oven. But can't get a gas built-under double oven with a gas cooktop. grr.

Nope. You'd have to go with a 48" gas range to get a two-oven range OR do a gas cooktop/rangetop and separate double electric wall ovens. Do you have the space for wall ovens?

No, no room for a wall oven. Maybe I can convince hubby to just get a free-standing one.

Hey sashamommy, I just found your post (I actually just posted pretty much the same question in appliances). I would have found yours but just learned the term the UKers use "built under."

I'm curious as to what you ended up with if you're willing to share?

Thanks.

I ended up just getting a free-standing. They did have one on the Home Depot website, but it was super expensive, plus you have to buy the cooktop separately!

Thanks for responding. I now understand why the rooms with plumbing are the most expensive rooms in the home.
