What about this for my backsplash?
We are delighted with how the brushed granite countertops look and feel in person, the pattern was a risk but now that it is installed it definitely works. As advised by the TKO here, I've eliminated any mural idea and have been looking for the right, simple, backsplash that will tie things together and not fight with the countertop. I brought home half a dozen samples and had several friends take a look. They narrowed it down to the same one that I was leaning towards. It's a smooth tile, though it looks like it has a bit of texture. I want to run it vertically, rather than having the lines run horizontal. The gray color picks us the stone in the countertop but also works with the stainless steel sinks and appliances. I like that it has some subtle brown and black in the tile, that also works with the granite.
What do you all think? We will have a range hood that is stainless on top and the part that spreads out is glass. Should the backsplash come up to the ceiling, to the top of the cabinets, to the bottom of the hood, or to the bottom of the cabinets?
Appreciate your help!
