hack/affordable hinges for swing up cabinet door?
I need help for a solution to my problem.
Can you please help share your hack or ideas: I need affordable swing up cabinet hinges?
I wish I had a picture.
So I put 2 - 36" wide x 24" deep (x 18" tall) cabinets (usually used for over a fridge) side by side, built into the wall, under the TV (hung on wall). I'm using 3 doors to cover it: 18"x18", 24"x18", and 30"x18" (glass).
Because of the 3 doors, I can't use "normal" hinges that has a left and a right hinge. For these 3 doors, I only have 1 left, 1 right, and a bunch of center hinges.
This sample picture below is similar to my door:
- the door hangs 1.5" taller than the opening (so I can't get hinges that flushes when opened)
- I would like soft-closing so that it doesn't slam down
- would to open at least 65degrees+
The swing up ones are out of my price range, even if they can be installed singlely (not requiring both left and right hinge).
Anyone use something like a car hatch lift? Thinking I can install them on bottom of the cabinet.
appreciate your help,
Thank you very much,
