Shaker Doors and Cleaning

rmiriamMay 4, 2013

So, I've been reading the beveled or straight shaker door debate, and the cleaning of flat shaker doors never really occurred to me. I think I'm going to be ordering my cabinets from Barker and painting them, so I have a choice of a flat Shaker door or one with a bevel but also with additional detail in the bevel, which might offset the ease of cleaning. I like both, but if one is easier to clean, that will be the winner! I'll also be painting them. So, thoughts on which would be easier?

You are not going to have a problem with cleaning, or at least I don't, but the painted joints might give you some grief.
