Is this possible? Hard to do?

I would like to replace lighting in my living room but there are two fixtures and they have very different requirements. I want them to match but because they have requirements, I'm not having any luck.

I've only found a couple of fixtures that meet both requirements but they are way out of my price range so I'm wondering how hard it would be to buy two matching ones I like and then rewire/modify them to work as I need.

1. This one needs to be a plug in swag that hangs from the ceiling on a hook and plugs in the wall.

2. This one needs to be hardwired in to the ceiling but it MUST have a pull chain on/off

I love this one, but buying two would be way too expensive.

There are UL approved kits for swagging lamps, and adding a pull chain switch is not that complicated ether.

Drill hole, mount switch, interrupt hot line.
