1834 6pane,and 12 pane

natandcatDecember 24, 2011

My husband and I are remodeling our home. It is an 1834 home. We have 20 (6) pane windows that are 1834 windows, and 3 (12) pane windows. We would like to know the value in them. We would like to sell them and put the money towards our remodeling project. If anyone is interested in them you can email us at: natandcat2003@yahoo.com

They are worth as much one is willing to pay.I'd try Craiglist or an antique/ building salvage type shop

You might get more interest if you identify the type of window (most likely double hung) and the correct light (pane) designation.

Double hung windows are normally specified by the number of lights panes of glass) in each sash section, as in 6 over 6, and the outside dimensions of the window (not including the interior trim).

They are double hung, 6 over 6. What do you mean by the correct light designation?

6 over 6 is a light designation.
