wood window / drywall return

jasperdogDecember 24, 2012

How would a drywall return work on a wood window with 4-9/16 inch jamb extension on a 2 x 6 wall? Would it look strange? Does anyone have a picture of this type of setup?

The drywall returns are usually extruded PVC so to the extent that you would have plastic up against wood, it might look a it odd.

You should be able to just drywall right up to the window and cover the transition with a 1/4 round trim detail out of wood.
