? protection for outside outlets
I am probably paranoid, but I would appreciate opinions on this. I am having my house resided. They removed the old wood, as requested, and in the process removed the cover on the outside outlet on my back wall. The outlet is now covered with a vinyl box, for lack of a better description, with an opening in the front in order to plug something into the outlet. My concern is this opening allows rain etc. to get on the outlet. Granted, the outlet is behind this cover, but there is that opening. Should I expect to have the outlet properly covered or is this sufficient? My other outside outlet will get the same treatment I imagine, but that is at least on a porch so there is a roof for some additional coverage. I would appreciate any info on whether this needs to be rectified or whether I am borrowing trouble :) Thanks!
