What's correct wiring for ceiling lights?

stash-hdyMay 10, 2010

When you hang a ceiling light do you need to connect the two wires in a specific way? The identified wire with a rib or marking does that need to be connected to the white or black wire?

Ribbed (identified) connects to white.
