Mineral Salt Staining

bellamayApril 8, 2008

Does anyone have information on the process for staining wood with mineral salt? It produces a richer color through the fiber of the wood. It is supposed to be less toxic than traditional stain.

Thanks!

Different minerals will have different effects on different woods and some are toxic. The other problem is many will produce permanent color change that can not be reversed if you don't like it. Do a sample board before you commit!
