200 amp breaker

rbiggFebruary 25, 2014

I see lots of 3 pole and 2 pole 200 amp 240vac breakers on Ebay.

Is 3 pole neutral and two hot legs? 2 pole two hot legs only with a separate neutral?

Just curious....

3-pole circuit breakers are for 3-phase power systems. That's 3 hots with the phasing arranged so each line is 120 degrees out of phase with the other two.

Thanks. Wasn't sure if they were for 3 phase or not.
