Windows are very hard to slide them open and close them

lacombeJuly 18, 2009

We're having our basement done and the windows are the white vinyl ones, they are soo hard to slide them open and also to slide them shut. I tried WD40, that helped a little bit, but still hard to move them back and forth. Is there anything else I should try in the tracks, that could help.

Sounds to me like they make have pressure coming down on them and if so there is really noway to fix this. Are they surrounded completely by wood and if so is the header piece level or bowed down in the middle ?
