The closest Benjamin Moore is over 2 hours from here :(
I found a color I really like but I'm wondering if I can take it to Lowe's/HD and get it in Valspar or Behr or whatever.
I believe any paint store worth it's salt can match any color...I have taken wall paper in and had them match the background, a piece of fabric, but they told me because of reflectivity and the light that reads the colors it may differ...I have taken in pint can lids and cupboard doors to match the color.
Yes they can, they have all the formulas. They are very proud of this too. ;-)
I have so many samples of different gray paints right now from there. BM's sample cans are larger but cost almost $7. The Lowe's ones are only around $3 each.
You aren't looking for a gray are you? I might have it!
I AM looking for a gray! The one I saw that I loved is called "Wickham Grey". I am also curious about "Grey Wisp". It's for a basement so I want something light and I would prefer if it did not have tan tones.
I know it would come as a great surprise to my dh, but I don't have samples of those!
Grey Wisp is the same as RH Silver Sage, and Home Depot can not match it (they did not have it in their system, but you could probably bring in the exact formula and they could do it that way). I don't know if Lowe's can.
I have it in our office and I just painted our Powder Room that color as well. I love it! It does read a bit blue or green though, depending on the light. Not as much of a true grey as Stonington Grey.
I've tried a lot of the BM Grey colors. They keep some samples in stock for $3, but if they don't have that color (and they did not have Grey Wisp last time I needed it) than you buy a sample for $8.
