Antique lumber prices?

kelvanceFebruary 18, 2012

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me with what antique lumber is going for? I am getting ready to tear down my old home and have a guy from a vintage log company to check it out, and I don't want to get jipped on the prices. I can only find what the reclaimed compaines sell them for, not what they pay for them.

Heres is what I have:

pine trim (excellent condition)

maple flooring (around 1000sq ft, all in good shape)

chesnut and hemlock (walls floor joists etc.)

thanks:)

of course that will depend, are you removing the wood from the house, pulling any nails or screws and stacking it for them to pick up with a fork lift of some sort. If they have to do anything other than pick the wood up the price will go down accordingly.
