How important is a catalyzed finish?

lsandlerFebruary 17, 2008

I have a choice of two tables for my kitchen so it will be used everyday.

Both are solid cherry. One has a catalyzed finish and one does not. Forgive me if this is an ignorant question but should I forgo the one without a catalyzed finish? Is a catalyzed finish superior to a non catalyed finish?

Thanks!

Catalyzed will generally be a little more durable and stain resistant.
