Repairing Old Wooden Venetian Blinds

bobbie46May 16, 2013

Hello all. My daughter has a 1927 house with original, custom made, wooden venetial blinds. The tape (ladders) is rotting. I have found one or two sources for the tape ($300) for a roll or about $25 per window. Has anyone tried doing this? It looks relatively simple but I really don't know. She want her bedroom dark in the early morning. Experience anyone? Suggestions for a vendor of parts?
All help is appreciated.
