Wrapping window trim in rain

ollie24018April 17, 2012

I am having some replacement windows put in and the installers have them in but need to caulk inside and out and wrap the trim and brick mold on the the outside.

It is supposed to rain tomorrow and the installers said they will be here to finish.

If the wooden trim and brick mold are wet from the rain is it still okay to wrap with aluminum?

Yes, it will dry out just fine. Caulking is the only thing that can't be done if there is a little rain.

Okay I feel better about it. I've lurked a long time on this forum and I felt I could get a straight answer to my concern.

Depends on the amount of rain but a misting is fine and most sealants used are okay in a bit of rain.
