Andersen A Series Double Hung

tantadoodlesApril 10, 2011

We are in the market for new windows (new frames and everything).

We have it narrowed down to the Anderson 400 Woodwright and the Anderen A Series. (We liked the Marvin Clad Ultimate but ruled it out because of price.)

In the showroom we like the look and features of the A series better but are unsure of longevity of the "fibrex" (whatever it's called) material and were also cautioned by sales person about quality control for cosmetic items such as crooked mullions in the A series.

I'm having a hard time finding reviews about this window. I suspect it's because it hasn't been so widely available until recently. (So I'm told.) Is there anyone out there that has some experience with this window can verify or refute the quality control issues?

Thank you!!

Not very well versed in the A series itself, but the Fibrex product itself should be more than sufficient to last a good long time with little or no maintenance.

How did the windows work out for you? We are trying to make a decision re: A Series vs. Woodwright. I can't tell them apart. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
