Windows in family room addition

barb50March 13, 2012

Posted this in remodeling forum too. We are building a 16 x 20 family room addition. The 20' wide wall that looks out on the backyard is planned to be double hung windows that are 3'10" wide x 5'8" tall. There will be 4 windows. I wanted there to be 2 groups of 2 windows. My hubby wants all 4 windows together to maximize the space in the corners. I am terrible at visualizing thing and as you may have noticed explaining things. The main point of that wall is to look out on the backyard.Any advice.

Putting the 4 together would look more dramatic, while separating them would create usable wall space in between for a couch, tv, or whatever... I'd figure out how you want to lay out the furniture, ect and then go off of that.
