Masonite vs. Therma-Tru

eleenaFebruary 1, 2013

We we all set to get Therma-Tru doors but wanted to get the windows done first, because I was not sure if I wanted French doors or sliding doors plus scheduling delays, etc.

I wanted to order this week but my window guy e-mailed me saying Therma-Tru had a price increase and suggesting to go with Masonite doors instead.

Do you know how the two compare?

I tried reading reviews but couldn't find anything substantive. Everyone sort of says that both are good. Is that true?

TIA!

Thermo Tru is a good door (there are better but at a much higher price point), Masonite is average at best.
