Money Shower

How muchh is normal to give at a Italian money shower???????

I did a quick search on www.google.com and found that money is usually given at the wedding, not the shower. The giving of envelopes containing money is called a "busta." (see http://www.nbizz.com/dinbrandt/page2.html and http://www.worldweddingtraditions.com/locations/west_europe_traditions/italian_traditions.html) No dollar amount is mentioned, so it may be similar to other weddings where you give an amount based on your budget and how well you know the couple.

For questions like this in my own life, I tend to ask the "aunt mafia" and then give about 3/4 of that (they all tend to round WAY up, or pick a dollar amount based on their more-established budget).
