Green Tide Detergent Scoops

DafhctDecember 8, 2004

I have a lot of detergent scoops and I have also used them for items other than detergent, but does anybody have any different ideas of what I can do with them? I have a sizeable stack. Thank you.

Hmmm... let's see:

Sandbox and bathtub toys
Nursery and preschools can use them for various things like scooping beads, sand, etc.
Holders for earrings and hair barettes, etc.

That's all I can think of right now. I just mopped the kitchen floor and I'm tired! LOL

How about little birdhouses with twigs & moss? Xmas ornaments?
I've been saving a few for that purpose.

I have sponge painted them before - then, insert a favorite photo graph (cut to size) - and then glue gun a pretty ribbon onto it - finally, I wrote "a scoop of love" - my son gave it to Grandma for Christmas one year and she loved it! It stands by itself or you can do this same idea to make hanging ones for the Christmas tree. (I think I got the idea out of trash to treasure bk). Have fun!!

I saw something on HGTV one time that they did in a workshop... seems they made some sort of "track" (if that's the right word) on the underneath side of a cabinet so that you could slide those little detergent cups in/out. They said it was great for storing nuts, bolts, craft items, etc. Now if I could just remember what they used to make the tracks...
