What can you do with an expire non-stick frying pan?

I was thinking more about this and I wonder if using the dremel is such a good idea? Surely particles of teflon and maybe even fumes (from the heat of the dremel) will get into the air affecting the crafter? I wonder too about the safety of birds drinking from this and how it might affect their offspring.

Sorry to be a downer... I do think the finished project is beautiful and super creative. just wondering about the safety.

Thank you Lydia.

Teflon at normal temperature is completely stable. Because aluminum is such a good heat conductor that a little Dremel tool can never get it to heat up significantly.
