Recycled microwave trays

hostarhodoApril 20, 2010

I have been reading on this forum a lot lately, I had the best laugh I had had in years when I read the Red Neck Listing. I was actually laughing a lot at myself because it is so true.

I have always picked some things from the trash, or saved things for future use. As my house and shed will testify to. Saw a basket chair with the metal frame on the side of the road the other day, and I thought yeh someone on the Garden Junk Forum would love it. Great stand for a sphere.

So to prove that I am one of you, a few weeks ago and again today I searched through some discarded microwaves, recycling depot just up the road, and found the trays inside. Total of 5 now. I take them to the community hall to use as food trays for catering. How come all cookware cannot be cleaned as easily as a microwave tray.

i'd love to see your photos!
i save microwave plates for totems, glue the totem to the stand and make it stable. cover it with mulch or something to hide it, place rocks or something to make it even more stable.
