OMG...those are beautiful.
I like them better "after" than "before."
Job well done :)
Wow!! That must have been a job matching up that plaid to get it right. You did a very professional job! Enjoy! Jan
I should also mention I only have $27.50 total in material to upholster both chairs! The upholstery shop I found locally marks down fabrics to $1yd when they get low on a bolt. Another shop was throwing out 4" foam slabs when the edges started to discolor from the sunlight they were sitting in(I got 3 slabs, stored them in my attic).
Oooh, girl! You did good!
WOW! Thanks! I can't believe you like the chairs.....I never know how a project is going to turn out till it's done! :0)
I'm speechless . It's just awesome.
toomuchglass.....thank you! Your all sooooooooooo nice! I'm getting mixed reactions to my finished project....as usual. :0) This is the question.....DO YOU THINK I SHOULD PAINT THE WOOD ACCENTS ON THESE CHAIRS GLOSS BLACK? Please give me your honest opinion.....really...
Here is a link that might be useful: Posted question here, no input so far....
don't paint- leave the wood color.!
They're fabulous! You did good!! I agree with mjowest...leave the wood as is.
The wood looks great! Don't paint it! It's too beautiful!
You did a wonderful transformation job! Where did you learn to upholster? You are very skilled.
This was my first attempt at tearing down chairs to the bones. I'm teaching myself upholstery. :0) No special tools....or machine I might add.
WOW those turned out beautiful. Don't paint the wood. TFS.
I didn't comment on your linked post because I didn't want to register, but I also vote no on the painted wood. They look absolutely perfect just the way they are. I am soooo impressed. I'm also encouraged because you said you are self taught.
Boo Hoo--the pictures are gone!!!!!
Here are the pics ...again:
