Old Ice Skates to Centerpiece

shysueJanuary 11, 2010

I had a lot of people coming for Christmas and needed a large centerpiece for my table. I painted a pair of old ice skates, put them on a table mirror (both bought at yard sales) and made myself one.

Thank you all so much. I followed your suggestions and posted on the Holiday forum. Jaybird, the clear snowflakes were a garland I got after Christmas a few years ago. I just cut it apart to get the single flakes.

Thanks Sue...after I saw yours, I looked at Joann Fabs and found some "flakes" in the scrapbook department clearance! They are mirrored, so will work perfectly. Thank you for giving me the idea!!
