Painting on Plastic with Perma Enamel

aka_raeanneDecember 7, 2001

I have painted on a water bottle with Perma Enamel (which says you can use it on plastic) they have a clear gloss glaze - but it says for use on tile, ceramic and glass - nothing about plastic. I can't find a website for them. Does anyone know if I have to put a sealer on the bottle. It was really decorated as a joke, but it would be nice if it were funcitonal too. I thank you for any help.

Any varnish will do or you can use perm enamel's varnish if you want, just brush it over your strokes. Plaid makes a great paint for plastic so try that the next time. Hobby Lobby carries all 39 colors, while Wal-Mart carries only 30 colors. Hope this helps.
