Anyone have Vetrazzo or IceStone countertops?

katie111May 2, 2013

I am looking at either of these materials for a bathroom vanity. I can get a remnant of either one for the same price as granite and Iove the look of them. I've found a couple negative posts about both materials but they were from a couple years ago so I don't know if they have been improved at all.

I was set on Vetrazzo for my kitchen until I started talking to people at the showrooms and saw several displays where they were chipped, etc. I figured if they chipped easily in a showroom display, how would they fare with pots, pans, etc..I went with granite. But I do love the look, just not sure how they would hold up in a kitchen or bathroom.

Go for it. Be unique. But please do not bring your pots and pans into the bathroom with you just in case the above chipping issues are valid
