boy cleanser says to dilute 1:40 with water.
is that 1 part solution to just under 1/2 part of water or the other way?
I'd think it'd be more water. but I'm not a vet either...
Odd, I've always seen this as "parts", like 1 part med to 4 parts water. Maybe a pharmacy is open and you can ask them. I wouldn't think it was the other way or they would have diluted it down...but then I'm not a medical person either. Have you looked up the med on the net? May be info you need.
1:40 means 40 parts water to 1 part cleanser. That must be some strong stuff!
That is 1 (ounce, cup, gallon) dumped into a container and brought up to the "40" mark with water.
3 ounces per gallon (write it on the bottle of concentrate with a marking pen)
http://www.cleaningstuff.com/d-ratio.htm has a handy table
" Maybe a pharmacy is open and you can ask them."
I don't think one was open at the time I was trying to figure it out. shouldn't have even tried figuring it at that time and as tired as I was. I was so tired and sore I could hardly walk!
lazygardens - yikes - I don't want to make up that much of it! maybe I'll do 1 tsp to 40 x that?
1 tsp = 1/3 of a TBSP
39 (40) / 3 = 13 TBSPS
12 TBSPS = 3/4 cp
that should be enough to clean his elbow once.
did I calculate it correctly?
took from kitchen measure site:
1 teaspoon = 1/3 tablespoon
3/4 cup = 12 tablespoons
that seemed to work fine!
