So far I have found very few sites that have good and easy freebies on them. I have completed a few. I've run out of things I like. Does anyone have any good sites?
I know there isn't much out there.
Here are some I got some cuties off the other night.
Have you tried "about.com"
I found some...
And I found this site that sells primed metalware for painting. I thought it looked interesting.
Gosh there are tons, here are a few of the ones I have saved to favorites:
www.christmasfreebies.com (coloring pages and more. I'll be using the coloring pages now that luvs has shown us how great they can work for patterns)
www.createanddecorate.com (has a new free online project every month and sometimes it's a paint project, you just have to check back every month)
www.paintworksmag.com (one free project each month)
www.mypaintpalette.com (1 free)
www.michaels.com (go to craft painting tab then decorative painting)
You got me thinking about it and wondering if there were any new ones that I've missed. Here are a few more I searched out today. Some only have one freebie on them, but it might be that perfect pattern you've been needing!
www.paintingonjars.com (we've already talked about this one)
Wow! I am sure glad Violet asked this question. I knew about some of these sites but certainly not all of them. I will have to go check them out! Oh no! even more time on this computer! I think this thing has a magnet in it! LOL
I'm really glad I asked this question also. I haven't had a lot of time recently so I have been browsing a little bit here and there. Some sites I have been to before and there were a lot I had not. They look rather interesting. It's always good to have someone elses perspective. When I get more time I will continue on.
Just remembered this one too. ~A
Ladies - I just discovered your tole painting forum! So glad to join you. I used to belong to the forums long ago and then they went paid and then they went back... you get the idea. ANYWAY! I have a couple freebies to add -
I paint more primitive stuff then flowers etc. I LOVE snowmen!!
I will try to check in more at their forum since finding all of you!
Put a bunch of heads together we may find a bunch! Thank You for all these links. Good nightime reading :-)
WElcome back Amie! We are glad to have you join us. If you've been on the forum for a while you probably already know how to post pics, but if not just ask. Can't wait to see your prim stuff and thanks for the added sites. I'm off to check those out. Again, welcome, we are excited to have you! ~Anj
Yeah! So glad you stopped by Amie! I'm adding my Welcome Back also! We'd love to see some of your panted items. The more styles the better! We love it all! Looking forward to chatting more with you. Luvs aka Kay
Thanks for your insight Amie and welcome. The more the merrier. Wow I am so lucky! I have now printed off this thread so I can keep a record of these sites. I tend to visit things when I am free at work so I will be able to.

Add this one to the list
bumping for Kim...
Thanks Anjabee....I'll definitely spend some time browsing all of the sites!!
Oh good Kim, glad you found it. I've spent more time than I should have looking thru them. It's addicting. ha ~Anj
Bumping this up again. Luvs
Luvs and the other two people that responded thanks for all the info on the free pattens. That is alot of places to check out. Have any of you ever painted on glass before? I thought about trying that out to see what it looks like. Thanks again.
Wow...thanks all! Going through all those will take a while!
I found the flower pot site, from the Busy Bee site. Many of the ones above are also on it...but they are all clickable.
Here is a link that might be useful: Lots of clickable links
Bumping up so we don't lose this.
I scanned thru the posts and didn't see this one. I came across it tonight and there are 2 free online issues of the Decorative Painter magazine that have quite a few free patterns in them. You just have to go to the pages and open them up. ~Anj
Lots of pretty things there. I see that they are letting us view the mags temporairly. Didn't find any free patterns, but lots of good ideas. And if you click on the membership info, it gives a list of participating businesses with even more pics.
I think PF belongs to the Society of Decorative Painters. Think she said she has collected these mags for many years.
They have some wonderful painters contributing. Most projects are way above my skill level, but they do also feature some for the not so experienced painters too.
Wonderful "eye candy" and lots of great ideas. ;o) TFS
Luvs~ did you look thru the pages of the magazines because there are lots of patterns in there and you can save them. I saved a few of them. You do have to have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view them though. ~Anj
Free crock pattern
Didn't see this one on our list. Has quite a few catagories like decorative, craft and fabric painting projects.
Luvs bumped up the picture posts and I remembered this one. I use it lots and don't want to lose it.......so Bump!! :) ~Anj
There is a cute new rabbit pattern here at http://puddlesofpaint.com/freepatterns.html
Gosh, Anj, I just went there to check out the bunny and only found cats. Says the page was updated today--do you suppose they took it off? Luvs
Hey Luvs, the rabbit one is at the puddles of paint site. I linked it up below for you. I thought you'd like it because you can incorporate the one stroke roses on it.
That other link isn't working now so I guess you just have to go to www.sweetpatoodies.com and then go to free pattern. I liked the fall leaves one.

Thanks Anj, I didn't even notice there were two sites! Duh. Sorry about that. Luvs
