searching for a paint dipping technique
Hello all! I'm new here - my name's Lynn! I've stopped in a few times while searching for something and love some of the ideas I've seen on here. I do lots of painting, crafting, sewing - pretty much whatever I can get my hands on! A friend of mine is trying to do some pieces for a craft fair - she basically wants to base-coat everything white, distress and then apply waterslide decals. I was telling her about something I came across during a search one day, where a lady had set up a paint dipping station, using big plastic rubbermaid type containers and basically a drying rack above it. It seemed like such a novel process for base-coating lots of little pieces rather quickly. Of course, now I can't find the site again to save my life. I can't even remember what I was searching for at the time. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Would anyone happen to have a link to the woman's site/photos? It seems like she had some info on there also about what type of paint she used and that she thinned it a little with water, but I don't know the ratio, etc. I'd greatly appreciate any help!!
