Looking for ideas to make vests to extend my wardrobe. I've searched here and also googled but did not find anything that "grabbed" me. I prefer applque and or simple piecing ideas.
We have made vests by piecing the material, cutting the pattern out of that material and then sewing the vest. We have quilted some. The thing is by choicing a calico pattern and solid colors you can make a vest that goes with just about anything.

Thanks, ladies, for your inspiration. Lizzie, because of your suggestion, I remembered a paper piecing project that has laid unfinished. I have enough to make a vest. I started laying them out last night. Patti ohio, I got lost watching the videos and have all sorts of inspiration. I think I have figured out how to use some beautiful (but non-washable) samples to make removable flowers for a vest! Thanks so much!
