For those with carrera marble - cabinet color?

cani123May 13, 2014

This is never ending with decisions! I picked the backsplash which is a carrera slab. Countertop will be a darker gray with blue undertones. The cabinet maker had originally made me a sample (when I was using a glass backsplash) which is now too creamy. He brought over another sample yesterday which pretty much matches the chantilly lace paint chip. When I was at Benjamin Moore a few weeks ago I had them make a sample board of chantilly lace and it was much lighter and whiter than the paint sample so I'm not sure which is correct.
I'm back at square one with the paint color. The carrera looks more grayish with my lighting versus the ones that have a brighter white in them.
What color cabinets have those of you that have carrera gone with?
The cabinet maker was going to experiment with using a base with more of a bluish undertone but I am afraid it will make the kitchen too cold and sterile looking. Would love to hear what cabinet color everyone with carrera used.

i think you might be over thinking. i would view the marbles as neutrals. i seriously think you could paint your cabinets or finish them just about any way, and they will look just fine. it will be beautiful. i always think that things should contrast or coordinate and not be matchy matchy.

I have pretty much overthought everything on this remodel and am already freaking out on my choices and we haven't even started yet. Lol

Beagles, love what I can see of your kitchen. The white looks soft, I like it!

I was trying for a closeup of the color against the marble. Here's the whole kitchen:

There's tons more pictures on my blog.

Beagles, OMG, that kitchen is to die for! You thought of everything in that kitchen and it's just gorgeous. Love everything you did. The chandeliers are gorgeous too.
