rabbit8August 24, 2011

I really need your help. I was told to get on a low card diet. Can anyone direct me to the right foods to eat?

The Atkins Plan is a low carb diet. If you go to their website you will see great meal plans and ideas of what exactly you can eat on a low carb diet. You don't have to follow the rules of The Atkins plan to live low-carb - it is geared for people that want to lose weight. But you can see what is acceptable to eat and form your own plan from there.

Again, this is an older post. Anyone still looking for info, this is for you. Meat/cheese/eggs/nuts/seeds/many vegetables are the essential building blocks when eating low carb. Berries in limited quantities are low-sugar, as far as fruits go. Avoid wheat products (like breads/crackers/breaded products, etc.), white sugar, brown sugar, natural sugars (like agave and honey), rice, and potatoes.

Whole wheat/high fiber products are fine IMO.

True it's an older post but someone might come along & read it. Said topic is still alive & well.
