Melting soap ?

puzzlefanJuly 24, 2009

I think I found the answer in another post but just wanted to verify that I have things correct. My daughter brought me home some soap that she was given by her host family in Palestine. (olive oil soap) It is the first soap ever that I have used that has controlled my rosacea. I ordered some more from a free trade organization and wanted to share it with friends. The only "drawback?" is it is not attractive. If I grate it and add a little water, can I pour it in molds and have it reset? Is it best to do this over direct heat, double boiler, or crock pot?

Why does it have to be attractive? If it helps your rosacea, don't mess with it!!!

The attractiveness is not a concern for me but I want to use the extra bars as gifts.
