sears garage door openers

flint57December 23, 2008

i have a pair of garage doors equipped with sears chain driven openers (about 14 years old). when the temperature dips into the 20's they both rise about halfway and then quit. when the weather warms up into the 30's, they both work fine again. anyone have any ideas? thanks

Does the door open easily without the opener? Something is getting stiff in the cold.
