vanilla extract

Is there any reason I can't use vanilla extract to scent? I have some really nice vanilla extract that smells heavenly, and I like it way better than any f.o. I've tried. And, of course, vanilla absolute is prohibitively expensive. But, I wonder if the alcohol content would be a problem??

the scent most likely won't stay because it's alcohol based, & the alcohol may cause the soap to seize.
