clever ideas???

danihoneyJanuary 17, 2006

I've never posted to this forum before, but thought I could get the answers I am looking for here.

I've got the best bloom going on my Lavender. Best I've had yet. I want to do something creative with it, but I'm not sure what. I've done a couple dried arrangments in the past, but I want to utilize this awesome fragrance.

What kind of things can I do with fresh lavender? Or can I?

Dani :o)

Dani, I've tried using dried lavender in soap and it turns a ucky brown. Potpourri is the only thing that comes to mind.

Have you cut the stems real close to the ground, bent them at the bottom of the blooms, brought the stems way up & over the blooms, & wove ribbon through the stems & then made a bow? You'd have something that resembles a sock darner.

I wish I knew what this is called!

Another nice use for the dried buds is drawer sachets. You can put them in pretty organza bags or simple muslin ones.
