Under Floor Electric Heat

shw001November 14, 2008

Is there a difference in qulity in brands for underfloor electric heat mats? I came across a brand called "Nu Heat" which is twice as expensive as some others. Seems like a good product. Is this price worthwhile?

This will be placed under a tile floor.

well,, i am not sure it is worth "twice" just for a heating coil; i am pretty sure they offer other things too like design help and a easy-cut mat which is incredibly helpful to DIY and pro's alike.

The actual heat wire itself is not worth a 2:1 price difference.

The thermostat is worth a lot depending on what it can do, and there are differences among them.
