Grout stain?

AlvanNovember 7, 2013

We moved into our house a little over a year ago-new construction. These are peacock pavers. They have looked like this since Day 1. :-/ we've ruled out iron stains as these look different and don't respond to the highly effective solvent we have used on other iron stains. The stains seem to follow the grout lines. Does anyone know how to remove these?

It appears to be efflorescence .
I have applied muriatic acid to my blue stone successfully removing the stains but as soon as the rainy season arrives I get a new crop of stains.

If you do try muriatic acid please read the bottle carefully.
The fumes are nasty.
I also water down any surrounding vegetation to where the residual product has flowed.
