I am trying to make a dress for my 5 yr old daughter, i have made many dresses but im trying to make it really puffy however the part i cant figure out is i dont want it to be bunched in the front i want it to come out as it goes down to the floor, what would be the best way to accomplish this? Thanks for any help!!!

I think what you are describing is a 'goured' dress/skirt. I uses several, 6-8, tapered pieces of material. They are basically triangle shaped with the points sliced off and put into the waistband, making the bottom of the skirt larger, and NOT having it bunch up at the waist. Do a search for goured skirts .Good luck, Salena

Skirt is spelled, 'gored'.
Sorry, Salena
