Sensors on Craftsman GDO

sklranchOctober 25, 2008

Sensors on Craftsman GDO. They both is green and the other is Amber...the door will not close completely unless you put just a min of downward pressure with your finger, otherwise it's stops about 12-18 inches from the bottom and goes back up...I thought maybe they were aligned properly, but, the amber one will not change colors regardless of how much I move it....just wondering of the amber light on the one side indicates that sensor is bad?

Thanks for your help.

It sounds like you need to adjust the lower limit screw on the unit, or possibly the downward pressure screw. Get a manual and read the part that concerns the adjustment section.
