concerns for Retrofoam

NatashaKossOctober 22, 2012

I have seen some posts on the use of retrofoam on this site before, but they were somewhat older (2009-2011). I am wondering if there has been any new information uncovered about this type of spray foam insulation. I read that it has been banned in Canada due to formaldehyde content and there is a concern that it could be a problem with old knob and tube wiring. Many people I have talked to would never recommend it for above grade walls and would only use it for foundation insulation. Can anyone add to this conversation. I am overseeing one of the BetterBuildings for Michigan Programs and wanted to have more information on this when our customers askk.
