How to repair latch bolt area on door

elliedSeptember 20, 2008

When trying to chisel the area on our steel entry door for the plate around the latch bolt I split the little strip of wood beside the drilled hole. How can I repair this to make it strong enough for the new plate.

Two part epoxy would probably work. If you could give us a picture it would help.
